Advertising Sales Representative (Updated 5/29/24)
We are currently seeking a highly motivated advertising sales representative with proven experience in all aspects of advertising sales – digital, print, sponsorship, etc. This individual will work primarily on acquiring general advertising business and establishing new accounts for an important client in the science sector.
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively source leads and develop a steady flow of new business through the identification of new advertising prospects.
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients with effective communication, timely responses to requests, and proactive resolution of potential issues.
- Work closely with publisher clients to ensure deadlines are met.
- Close business.

- Experience in digital and print media sales.
- Detailed organizational skills.
- Inherent problem-solving ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills.
- Ease of adaptability and creative thinking.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of print and online media.
- Must be able to work with tight deadlines.
- Must be able to constantly prioritize workload with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.
- Skilled in negotiating robust multi-tiered deals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of working experience in print and digital advertising in the media industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Salesforce/CRM.
